Default Publisher 2003 - Page Number Layout Problem

Hi!

I'm a newbie when it comes to MS Publisher and am using 2003 on a WinXP
platform (all service packs installed).

I'm getting married soon (no, that's not the "problem.. grin) but rather
the problem with the program I'm creating.

I have 12 pages. In a perfect world, I'd like to have page 1 be the cover
and the last page be the back cover, and have the remaining pages (2-11) be
read like a book. Somehow I've managed to goof it up. The page numbers on
the bottom of the page are currently not linked together and have the little
flap bent in the upper right corner (if that matters) for each page.

Is there a way to achieve this? I've tried searching for within publisher
for help, but am stuck.

Thanks in advance!

turn off page numbering and make sure you print and bind the program in
the proper order... your guests will not care about the page numbers on
the bottom of the program. I've done many marriage programs and
numbering of the pages is not an issue

Default Publisher 2003 - Page Number Layout Problem

Hi Steve!

Thanks! I think maybe I wasn't clear... I wasn't referring to the actual
page number on the page itself, I was referring to the numbers that appear on
the silhouettes of the pages towards the bottom of the page (I guess they are
page selectors?)

In any case, when I print them out now, it is printing all messed up... page
1 actually gets printed on the right side of page 3, some are printed in
reverse order, etc.

As it is now, I have page 1 as what I want the cover to be, then page 2 etc.
I thought that they'd automatically print in a "binder" mode being that way,
but they are not.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

Do you have your publication setup as a booklet?
