Why is Microsoft's IE 8 so slow?Even the lastest Updated !!
My Microsoft IE 8 which has been updated several times now is also beginning
to get slower and slower each day that passes. Why is this happening? There has to be something causing this. For over a Decade I have used nothing but Microsoft's Internet Explorers and never had a speed issue one but in the past year everything that could go wrong with an IE has gone wrong. Microsoft? What is happening? I am having not wanting to use any and all other Browsers.I do not like any that I have used so far since being so relied upon on Microsoft's Internet Explorer Browsers. Today I had to go to Google Chrome as a default browser simply because Microsoft's twice updated IE 8 has gotten so slow I simply could not use it anymore. Please anyone, can you please explain to me why this is all of a sudden happened in the past 9-12 months? |

You're not alone. The same thing is happening to me, and Google is littered with similar stories: http://www.google.co.uk/search?hl=en...G=Search&meta= DelDomains made no difference for me, nor did registering actxprxy.dll nor running IE8 with no add-ins... The main problem I have is that when trying to navigate to a website the tab sticks at "Connecting" - sometimes I have to open half a dozen tabs before one of them will connect: http://www.google.co.uk/search?aq=f&...IE8+connecting I also get this a lot: http://www.google.co.uk/search?sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8&q="Internet+Explorer+was+closed" Like you, I also use Google Chrome for almost everything now... Try opening the following MySpace profile in Chrome and then in IE8: http://www.myspace.com/sanctuaryrig - the difference is unbelievable! -- Mark Rae ASP.NET MVP http://www.markrae.net |
