forms look dull
Hello,
My forms are very functional and user friendly from a boxes and buttons placement aspect - but look terribly dull...they're grey. Sometimes I feel like Henry Ford with the Model A (or was it T), when he was quoted as saying "you can have it in any colour you want, as long as it's black". My forms don't look this way on purpose, it's just that I'm much more into utility than aesthetics - can any one point me towards sources to make access forms more interesting looking? I've searched the net, but most of the info I've found centres on gui useabilty, not aesthetics. Anyone whose forms look really zippy and pleasing to look at I'd like your advice and/or examples, please. Thanks, Al |

Microsoft has some well designed forms in their latest sample databases
online. I downloaded a couple of them and have used them as the design template for my latest databases. Mich "Al" wrote in message ... Hello Mitch,
Thanks for the info - are the samples newly added for 2k2/3 or new for just 2007? Which samples in particular do you think make good templates? Try the Access 2007 ones he
http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/te...426161033.aspx or the 2003 ones: http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/te...426031033.aspx I like the lists of tasks and reports menu to the right of the main form, and use this rather than using a switchboard. But honestly, it really depends on what you like in designing databases GUIs. I was tired of the old grey look too! Mich "Al" wrote in message ...
