Default Displaying scanned iamge in form

I have a problem displaying a scanned image on a form.

The form is A5 size. i scan it and save it as a bitmap. When I try to put
the image in a control (bound or unbound), on-screen the image looks A4 size
and will not display if I reduce the size of the control and select zoom or
stretch.

I only want a small image on screen but if i stretch or zoom and make the
control smaller (even only as small as A5 size) the whole thing looks black.
Is there something I can do, either change the way i scan or some other
option or transformation I need to make.

ThANKS
