Default Subform view - design view

I have wondered why this happens for a while.

I open my main form in design view one time and the subform opens (like the
Main form) in design view like expected. The next time I go into the main
form in design view the subform is one big white block and I have to actually
open it (double click on it) to open it. Then it opens outside of the main
form. Any reason as to what I am doing that one time it the subform in design
view the next I actually have to open it up.

I also see this, i don't think it's a problem just a result of were the form
is opened from - closed to open OR design to Open. I could be wrong though.

Is anybody sure of this ?
