Default Please help me!!!

I recently had to reboot my computer and I lost the set
up that the "professional" did when he set up my e-mail
through outlook. I can send a message but I can't
receive them. During my setup it's asks about servers
for in and out going mail. I don't know what to put.
pop3? what's that and "smtp" there's another one. lol

Anyways I'm sure this will be a stupid question for
someone to answer but I really have no clue.

Thanks,
Katie

You need to go to yr ISP web site and look for FAQ's re how to set up mail
accounts.
The smtp and pop settings are individual to yr ISP
http://support.shaw.ca/emailnews/windows.htm
BTW a reboot should not have 'lost' yr account settings, do you still have
access to yr old/previously seen email msgs?
BTW Outlook and Outlook Express are completely different apps; sorry if this
is known to you.

Generally, POP3 is your inbox at your ISP. SMTP is your outbox at your ISP. Hope this helps.

Katie,
The information you are looking for can be found in the company that appears after the @ symbol in your e-mail address. If for example your e-mail address is , you can contact 123company.com for their pop3 and smtp address. you can them input these values in Outlook by going to Tools Services Accounts
