Default How do I check non-AOL email via an AOL dial-up with Outlook?

Hi, I'm using AOL to connect to the Internet. I want to know if it is possible to use Outlook Express to check non-AOL email for my business domain via AOL's dial-up connection.

I'm using Windows XP Home edition (just purchased a new Vaio laptop) and what I assume is the current version of AOL's software. I called AOL and they said it should work, since it is a TCP/IP connection. But when I try it, either Outlook just hangs, or AOL signs off.

Sounds like they're just incompatible, but if anybody has had any success, please reply to this thread.

Thanks in advance,

Railer
