Default Misalignment of text and text boxes

I recently installed Office 2007 ( upgrade from 2003) on a large number of
users. Two of the number are having a problem with Power Point. It seems that
some of the presentations created in 2003 are having difficulty in 2007. The
text is appearing on the line above the cursor in established text boxes.
Sometimes the text even splits the line above. This is currently only
occuring in two of the installations, and only on older presentations. Is
there a setting or a conversion that I missed? Thanks for the help.
