Default Rule and redirect

Creating a new rule, start from blank, check msgs when they arrive, apply
after ...
On this machine only ...
Redirect to ...
I get the red circle with "cannot combine server-only actions with
client-only conditions or actions.
I am trying to forward mail from Outlook 2003 on my office computer
(Exchange) to another computer without involving Exchange on that destination
computer.
I would welcome suggestions. Thanks.

I see no "redirect" rule available in OL2003. I see forwarding clauses but
no redirect clauses that can be added to rules. Maybe its a clause
available only if you are connecting to an Exchange account (which probably
means both parties have to be using the same Exchange server).

Note the "Caution" section. My guess is that redirection (from one mailbox
to another) require Exchange on both mailboxes. It moves the e-mail from
one mailbox to another without adding any additional headers to show the
change of mailbox destination. Normally moving (forwarding) an e-mail from
one mailbox to another would show additional headers that track where the
e-mail actually got delivered (i.e., it would show all hops) instead of
trying to lie to the recipient as to where an e-mail got delivered. Logging
in the Exchange server would show who redirected what to whom.

Redirect and Forward are not the same thing. Redirect is an Exchange-only
action. If you want to forward mail, then use the Forward action and it can
be local.
