Viewing PowerPoint Presentation on a TV through DVD player?
Hi, RDS
Look at he http://www.powerpoint-to-dvd.com The software Powerpoint2DVD can burn your ppt files into DVDs or MiniDVDs, and you can view them on your TV. You can see its demo file or download it from that site! Have a good time ! "RDS" дÈëÓʼþ ... I am creating a slide show in PowerPoint using scanned in pictures (photos) and the slide transition will be on a timer. As the slides are showing and changing I plan on having music playing. I know I can put this presentation on a CD and play it and view it on a computer. But is there a way that I can also play it and view it on a DVD player attached to a TV. I want to give this to someone as a present and I want them to have the option of viewing it on both the computer and also on their TV through their DVD player. If anyone has any input I would appreciate it. |

For photos, there is this Microsoft Photo Story 3 that you can use. Get it
for free from: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...DisplayLang=en (watch out for wraparound) For creating DVDs with Photo Story, there is Sonic DVD for Photo Story 3 at http://www.estore.sonic.com/enu/photostory/default.asp - Chirag PowerShow - View multiple PowerPoint slide shows simultaneously http://officeone.mvps.org/powershow/powershow.html "tickle" wrote in message ... If anyone has any input I would appreciate it. No. As a PPT program it needs the PPT program or Viewer to "see" it. You would need to convert it to a movie type format for your DVD player to present it. Even then it depends on your DVD player. Some older ones will only play commercially "pressed" DVDs and won't play DVDs "burned" on a computer. Even then the "country code" must be present. I have a Gateway DVD recorder for my TV. I also have a !GoVideo DVD player. I can record TV shows on my Gateway but if I then put the DVD in my !GoVideo player it won't play. I can burn movies on my computer's DVD burner and play it on my Gateway but it won't play in the !GoVideo or in my Car's entertainment center DVD player. We are in the midst of turmoil in DVD recording. There's -R; +R; Blu-Ray; etc formats all competing and mostly not interchangable. MicroSoft is pushing a new different format. It reminds my of the old VHS vs Beta problems for VCRs. FWIW. I have an adapter to feed my computer's video output both to my monitor and to a VCR. I have split my audio output both to my computer speakers and to a VCR. That way I can play a PPT program with audio on my computer and record it on my VCR. The VCR tape will work with any VCR/TV setup. If I have no audio as part of the PPT program I can use my computer microphone to add audio as I play and record the PPT program. Works great. -- Darrell R. Schmidt B-58 Hustler History: http://members.cox.net/dschmidt1/ - |
