Publisher 2003 printing
The system consists of Windows 2003 servers and Windows
XP clients The following script is manually run via a batch file which is stored on a management server, the script is amended for server\printer name according to location. The Script: start /wait sc \\%ComputerName% start spooler rundll32 printui.dll,PrintUIEntry /ga /c\\% ComputerName% /n\\lsr002\MSA012-P1$ start /wait sc \\%ComputerName% stop spooler start /wait sc \\%ComputerName% start spooler All seemed to be working fine until we tried to print from Microsoft Publisher 2003 And we received this message: Publisher cannot find the printer"\\computername\printer" for this publication. This computer will print from a wide range of applications but not this one! |

Argh, you have not got your system configured correctly.
Publisher will always find the weakness in your system. There are no known printing issues in any versions of Publisher, only poorly configured networks and bad printer driver. |

I believe that I am having a similar problem. When I go to print my document
in microsoft publisher, an error message comes up saying the following: "A printer has not been installed on the system. Install a printer for publisher to use. The fonts in your publication may look different as a result of the printer selection." It then makes me click ok but does not tell me how to do this! I know I have installed my printer correctly because it works for all other programs, and it tells me that it is installed correctly. Did you find a solution?
