Default How to stop fax number showing as address when resolving names

When I type in a contact name in the to box and the contact contains a fax
number as well as an email address, the system offers both the email and fax
as ways to fill in the name. I never use the fax. Is there some way to stop
Outlook from offering the fax?

Ad fax number IS an electronic address, so it is proper for Outlook to
display it when you're addressing messages. If you don't want to see it,
then store it in some other field or modify it sop that Outlook can't
recognize it as a fax number. One way to do that is to insert "F" in front
of the number. Of course, this will break any fax software you have that
integrates with Outlook.
