Default Runnig Spanish Access application into English version

I have developed an Access application with the Spanish version of Access
2000. I have tried to run this application with an English version of Access
2000.
The application starts, runs some forms, and give errors such as variables
not found, "divided by zero" error, type mismatch, ....

I have been told it is due to Spanish caracters not being recognized by the
English version.... Fine!!

But, could I mend it?. Is it any way to use an application to change all
unknown Spanish caracters into recognized ones for English?
Could I edit the whole Access aplication in Visual BAsic so that I can
change the caracters with "search and replace" options ?

Thanks,
Jose
