Default computer freezes when attempting to log in

On a few websites I cannot log in without having my 2 computers freeze.
One computer's OS is Vista Home Premium with IE8 while the other is XP Pro
with IE8. On the Vista machine I get the continuously moving horizontal
black bar while on the XP machine I get the error message below:

AI Roboform assertion failed

the mail client window.

Assertion failed: C=0 S=null-

GetLastError returned: 0

OS version: 5.1 build 2600 (Service Pack) platform=2

IE version 6.0.2900

DLL:

EXE: C\Program Files\Internet Explorer\IEXPLORE.EXE

RF version: 4-4-9

Lang:

File: D:\p\roboform\Filler\FormFiller.cpp

Line: 3401

It is quite possible that the program execution can be safely continued.

Do you want to continue?

Yes No

I cannot locate any files on my machines that have any Roboform
applications.
I also suspect that this problem might have occurred after an IE8 update,
since I don't recall it being present after the initial IE8 Install.
Is there any way I can solve this problem without having to remove IE8 and
revert to IE7 or IE6?
Thank you.

In IE, go to Tools, Internet Option, and click on the Delete button under
the Browsing History section. Then click the Delete Forms button. It's
likely that one of the entries is corrupted and following these steps will
clear out all of the saved form data. If that doesn't do it, then do the
same for the saved passwords data.

Default computer freezes when attempting to log in

Those with IE7- and/or IE8-specific questions or comments can post to and
seek support in IE General (certainly not OE6) newsgroup:
microsoft.public.internetexplorer.general

On the web:
http://www.microsoft.com/communities...orer. general

In your newsreader:
news://msnews.microsoft.com/microsof...plorer.general

PS: There is no 'microsoft.public.windows.vista' newsgroup on the Microsoft
newsserver
