Every other Fax fail
Hi, Whenever I send out a fax created in word - to a number of customers, every other fax fails and I get the error message: "This number cannot be dialed at present". Any ideas why? I am using XP sp2, Office 2003. the format of my fax numbers is +44 (XXXX) XXXXXX JB |

The fax software you are using and the precise steps you are using would be
pre-requisites here. -- Russ Valentine [MVP-Outlook] "Joe Blogs" wrote in message ... Hi Russ, I create a fax document in Word 2003, I then use Microsoft Fax to Print-Fax the document. I have a list of contacts in Outlook 2003 that I select from the send fax wizard. I select the "Address Book.." to select the people that I want to send the fax to, around 50+ people. the format of the fax number in outlook is +44 (XXXX) XXXXXX. When I send the faxes the first one goes fine the next one fails but the next in the queue goes fine and so on? I have tried to put a delay in the dialing rules but this does not work. By Microsoft Fax I assume you mean Windows XP Fax. I've heard others report
the same thing. It's important to remember that Windows XP Fax was designed only for the occasional sending of a single fax. You would need full featured, third party fax software to do what you want. The only way to troubleshoot this further would be to set up fax logging. Even if we did, I'm not sure Microsoft would offer us any solutions. -- Russ Valentine [MVP-Outlook] "Joe Blogs" wrote in message ... Afraid not. I barely have time to keep up the Microsoft Fax products. I've
had good luck with the Internet Fax Services that Office 2003 offers--especially if you think you may be doing away with your analog modem in the future. -- Russ Valentine [MVP-Outlook] "Joe Blogs" wrote in message ...
