How do I stop currency field from changing cents to zeros?
I have an "amt paid" number field set to long integer, currency, 2 decimals.
When I enter an amount (like 49.55) it defaults the cents .55 to zeros 49.00. I have other fields that are identical and do not change my cents when entered. Is there a way to fix this glitch in Access 2007? |

Use a Currency field. The integer types can store whole values only.

An Integer is by definition a whole number. Use a Currency datatype instead of any sort of Number. That's what it's for; a Currency value is a huge scaled integer with four decimal places (no more, no fewer) and a range into the trillions (almost enough to store the final cost of the federal bailout, if we're lucky). -- John W.
