I need to put a search engine on an Excel spreadsheet.
This spread will contain various names, up to 2000 and I
need an easy way to find these names, I need to know how
to beable to type a last name or a date in a search engine
and for it to pull that information. Could anyone help
me, I have no idea how to do this? Thanks, moc

MOC,

It really depends on how your information is organized,
perhaps you could provide a small sample (3 or 4 records)
to help us understand how your data is organized. Likely,
what your asking for can be accomplished by lookups,
matches and index's. Just post the records (in the e-mail
text, not attached) so we can have a look.

Okay, this is just an example, no real names or info

Date/ Sender's Name/ SSN/ Beneficiary/ SSN/ Wire Amount/
9-18 John Smith *** Jane Smith *** $1000.00

And so on, I work at a bank, I need to be able to type in
a last name or date, and I need something to pull that
transaction up. We do not have a program for this, and I
have been left with the duty to make a program for this.
If you need more information, let me know, and If you're
still confused, I'll be more than glad to supply a larger
example. Thank you so much.
