Inconsistent cell heights and underlining cells
I'm having some problems getting my form to format-perfection. First off, I
have the settings as far as cell margins, cell spacing and row heights the same but for some reason Word has decided to make the row heights in one table different than others. I have attached a screenshot of what I'm trying to describe. As you will see, the row on the left (File Name is perfectly formatted, with the form box conforming with the cell, touching each row divider. Now, the row on the right (Name, WITH THE EXACT SAME SETTINGS, as you can see Name and the form box have decided to levitate off the bottom of the row divider. Secondly, another problem I'm having is in trying to underline just certain cells. This works without problem until I reach the last cell in a row, by which if I use the same procedure to underline just that cell (as had worked previously) it will underline the entire row. I'm using MS Word 2002. TIA for your help!!! -- Justin |

Inconsistent cell heights and underlining cells
Taking the second question first, without knowing what procedure you're
using to add a border to your cell, I would guess that you're managing to select the end-of-row marker along with the end-of-cell marker when you select the last cell in a row. It's easier to see this if you have nonprinting characters displayed. I'm afraid I can't think why the row heights would be inconsistent, as you seem to have touched all the bases on that one. -- Suzanne S. Inconsistent cell heights and underlining cells
Thank you for the quick response. I don't think that is the case (with
underlining my cells). Please see the attached screenshot - if I right-click this selection, select Borders& Shading and then select a line on the bottom border (ensuring that Apply to: Cell is selected) it will underline the entire row. I think this table is just possessed... I have attached another screenshot of the inconsistent heights showing a little more of the table. -- Justin "Suzanne S. Barnhill" wrote in message ... Inconsistent cell heights and underlining cells
If you'd like to send a small sample to my email, I'll be glad to take a
look at it. But, just in case the table *is* possessed, take a look at http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/AppErrors/CorruptDoc.htm first. -- Suzanne S. Not sure if this will help, but I had a similar problem with the entire row
underlining, instead of the selected cell. When I went to the next row, I noticed that a top border had been applied. After removing the top border from the row, only the selected cell was underlined. "Suzanne S. Barnhill" wrote: If you'd like to send a small sample to my email, I'll be glad to take a look at it. That was not the case with this particular doc, which was in fact possessed
in some strange way. But thanks anyway. -- Suzanne S.
