Default semitransparent tables

Hi every body ,
I'll appreciate if you tell me how can I build a semitransparent table .
I mean I want to make some coulmns of the table transparent & make the
others mat .

Select Borders and Shading from the Format menu when you have the cursor
located in a cell to which you want to apply shading.
