Default Automatic coloring of table cells

JT, yesterday the problem seemed to be solved, but I'm working in another
table today and the problem has returned. I did re-customize my Quick Access
toolbar. I'll re-set it AGAIN, but I simply must have my shortcuts !! Why
click 3 times when I can click 1 time? I'm wondering if Koja ended up with
the same problem after she reset her QAT?

Thanks for any help, Whisper

Sorry if you already answered that Koja, I think I was looking at an old
reply.

-OK, click on the little pull down menu for the Quick Access Toolbar
-choose more commands
-on the right under your toolbar window, click the reset button (this will
undo all of your cutomization, sorry)
-click ok.
-make sure the Quick Access Toolbar has only the 3 (I think its 3) default
icons
-exit word, reopen word
-create a new table as a test, and try to get it to darken the cells again.

Let me know what happens!

Thank you for figuring the problem out... I like what I was setting up and
will watch how things interact in the future.

Thank you again,
Koja

Hi Whisper,
I reset the QAT and it cleared the problem, but like you I am used to the
shortcuts and will start adding them again. Because of the problem returning
to your system, I can only assume the there is a conflict with one or more
short-cuts, or the quantity added... I had quite a few. I like the new Word,
but really liked the toolbars in Word 2003 much better, thet were so easy and
quick to use!!
Thanks again and I will post what happens as I start to add short-cuts again.

I apologize for the delay in responding to everyone... I lost my father this
last week and things have been very hectic.

I will try to post soon...

Thanks again for everyone's support,
Koja

Sorry for the really late reply all! I stopped getting notifications on this
thread for some reason.....anyway, if you guys or anyone else is still
checking on this thread, this problem is a confirmed issue from microsoft.
Apparently there is a limit on how many items in the quick access bar. It has
to do with the added value of each shortcut exceeding some sort of limit and
causing the issue. MS said they coudn't say exactly how many shortcuts is too
many because each shortcut may have a different value. So you just kind of
have to add them until you have the problem, then take one off. This is a
pretty bad glitch if you ask me. I hope that they make this one of the
priorites on their updates.

Hi JT!
Thank you, it worked for me. I'm so happy other people met the same awfull
BLUE CELL experience! I hope it will stay away if I restore my quick launch
toolbar!

JT, I agree, this is a BIG glitch ! And drives me crazy! I'll reset my
quick access bar YET AGAIN and see if it works. And just add back a shortcut
at a time. Thanks for the update.

Please help; whenever I select and/or type into a Word 2007 Table Cell, the

off. This makes working with tables almost impossible and I use them daily;
can someone please help me? Thank you in advance... Koja

We are experiencing the same problem with color in the tables on the display (not in print). We have reset the Quick Access Toolbar. Just wondering if anyone has found out how many tools we can place back on it.

Quite possibly not an issue of the number of buttons but of specific ones,
including "Different first page" and "Different odd and even."
