Double-click on grouped objects open in a new window in VISIO 2003
I have been using and upgrading VISIO since 2.0. I got use to
double-clicking on grouped objects and having them open in a new window. This obviously has changed in recent versions. I know that this can be set in the Behavior dialog for the group however is there a way to set "open in a new window" as the DEFAULT whenever I create a group of objects? |

No way to do this "globally", as far as I know, but I tried a hack that
suprisingly works, and is probably "not officially supported" : ) You can create a template that you always use , MyNewDrawing.VST, for example, and do the following: - View Document Explorer - Browse the tree to Styles Normal - Right-click and choose Show ShapeSheet - Find the cell: Events EventDblClick - Set the formula for this cell to = OPENGROUPWIN() This is the same thing that you do when you set the Double Click behavior from the dialog, only now you are doing it for a Style object. All shapes created with the Normal style, or any shape based on normal will have this double-click behavior. Single shapes will also inherit the formula, but it has no meaning for single shapes. Weird. Have fun... -- Hope this helps, Chris Roth Visio MVP "GISMember" wrote in message ... I have been using and upgrading VISIO since 2.0.
