why cant i change font
font manager, no.
commercial printing, no. I'm only trying to apply original fonts that come with publisher so it shouldn't be license problem. "Mary Sauer" wrote: Are you using a font manager? I suggest you use the Detect and Repair in 2003 or Office Diagnostics in 2007. I also suggest you go to the web site of your printer model and look around for an updated printer driver. It is always wise to completely remove a driver before installing/re-installing. why cant i change font
before detect & repair
I would try; strip out ALL of Word's formatting and format your document IN Publisher In other words abandon all formatting that was done in Word and do it in Publisher. -- ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Rob Giordano Microsoft MVP Expression Web "ayudameconpublisher" wrote in message ... font manager, no. commercial printing, no. why cant i change font
op didn't say selecting...said _changing_ a font.
imo it's better to format in Publisher then carrying junk from elsewhere into Pub...perhaps there are errant styles or bad fonts like you guys said. -- ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Rob Giordano Microsoft MVP Expression Web "Mary Sauer" wrote in message ... All those fonts you see with the @ are mostly oriental. For example
@Malgun Gothic is Korean; @Microsoft JhengHei is Chinese. And so on. Do a Internet search for the font you are trying to use to find out what language it is. -- Mary Sauer MVP http://msauer.mvps.org/ "ayudameconpublisher" wrote in message ... ok after a bit of research it comes out I can't use fonts that don' have the @ sign in front of them. and these fonts are just what i need. can anyone explain me why is it so that i can't use many fonts and is there any known way to repair it? |

The font I'm trying to apply (Lucida Calliggraphy) isn't in any language,
it's just a designed font. "Mary Sauer" wrote: All those fonts you see with the @ are mostly oriental. For example @Malgun Gothic is Korean; @Microsoft JhengHei is Chinese. And so on. I don't what else I can tell you. Not all Office's fonts are installed by
default. Go to the Control Panel, Programs and Features folder, scroll down to Office, click Change. -- Mary Sauer MVP http://msauer.mvps.org/ "ayudameconpublisher" wrote in message ...
