Guidelines don't print - they aren't "real". Are you looking for a grid or

Thank you for your reply, I understand and appreciate your comments.
On a calendar I would like the numbered day of the week to be contained in a 'box' as it appears on the template. Thanks again. That's a grid, as in a table. (The following explanation is being simplified
for this response. Don't start nailing me on technicalities.) Layout, margin, column, row, and baseline guide lines are just a way to make sure your objects are positioned correctly. Just as when you use Word and create a table, you need to tell the document you want borders on your cells. Are you starting from scratch or have you started with a template? -- JoAnn Paules MVP Microsoft [Publisher] "Ruthven" wrote in message ... Hello Mary, Thanks for your reply. After some more thought I have managed to
acheive 'boxes' to surround the numbered days of the week by selecting each cell then select Format box. This does the trick. Thanks again Nicholas. Thanks for your help and comments. I am using existing templates for
calendars, I have, however noticed that some templates will actually print the 'box' that contains the numbered day of the week, some however will not. Those that do not then I select each 'cell' and use 'format Box', this does the trick. I was incorrect in using the term 'guide lines', I now realise that I meant boxes. Very many thanks for your help. Best wishes, Nicholas. "JoAnn Paules" wrote: That's a grid, as in a table. (The following explanation is being simplified for this response. While waiting for decisions from his 6 university choices, Ed sees a
message from Ruthven . On it is written: I was incorrect in using the term 'guide lines', I now realise that I meant boxes. You were closer than you think - the more technical term I would use is "gridlines" -- Ed Bennett - MVP Microsoft Publisher http://www.mvps.org/the_nerd/ Before reading this message, view the disclaimer: http://mvps.org/the_nerd/disclaim.htm |
