Rotating text in Off Page reference

Default Rotating text in Off Page reference

May be pushing my luck, but is there a way to rotate the
text in an off page reference? If i rotate the icon so it
looks like a left to right 'arrow', i cannot rotae the
text so it is rneadablae(horizontal).

A bit of surgery is needed.

Open the Shapesheet for the off-page shape and find the Text Transform
section. The last item in that section is TxtAngle. Set the value to -Angle.

This will set the Angle of the text to cancel the affect of changing of the
angle of the shape by rotating the shape.

You should do this to the master shape and save it as a new master so that
all off-page shapes inherit the same property. You can change the master
supplied by Visio, but when you install the next upgrade to Visio, your new
master will be replaced by Visio's new master and your new feature may be
lost.

Excellent, thanks. Although I'm a little embarrased to
admit that I discovered if I right click the off page
refernce box, select Shape, there is a "Rotate Text" tool
there...
