Visio viewer

How can anyone other than other Visio users view the files or import the
pictures into a Word document? Saving as a dwg file (we all have CAD
software) results in the formatting being lost. Saving as a html gives a
corrupted file.
We are using Visio 2002SR1, with Office 2000 and Explorer6.
If we can't solve this I will bin Visio. I don't fancy shelling out for 45
users when only 2 or 3 people will be producing flow charts and the rest just
needing to view them.
Does anyone know of an alternative package that saves either as doc or pdf
files?

The Visio Viewer 2003 allows anyone to view Visio drawings and diagrams
(created with Visio 5, 2000, 2002, or 2003) inside their Microsoft Internet
Explorer version 5.0 or later Web browser.
