Default Autosuggest will not work

I did a clean install of office/outlook 2010 on windows 7 ultimate. The data
was from the a outlook 2010 beta .pst file.

I have three e-mail account feeding into one profile. I cannot get the
autosuggest to work. I see names in the "suggested contacts," however even if
I use the :check names," they will not auto populate the to, cc or bcc fields.

Any ideas?

Thanks......

Why would you expect them to?
Check names uses your Contact data, not your autocompletion cache. Always
has.

Russ:

Thank you for the info. I thought check names was also used to populate the
suggested contacts field.

Given that I have my contact data and addresses in the suggested contacts,
why can I not get any e-mail addresses to auto complete?

Thanks.....alan

Do you want them to come up when you start typing names? That list is
populated when you send mail. Until then, Alt+K will autoresolve the
addresses.

True, but with Outlook versions that used the NK2 file, pressing Ctrl+K or
clicking Check Names would resolve the address and add it to the NK2 cache.
Shouldn't the act of resolving an address add it to the list of suggested
names and in the past, however those suggested names are managed?

But check names never searched the NK2 file for matches.

Even after I send messages, the names do not come up when I start typing.
There are 10 names or so that do pop up, but none of the others I have sent
e-mail to even if they are in my contacts as well.

The ALT+K does autoresolve the addresses.

Any thoughts?

Thanks

How many accounts are in your profile? What types?

I've noticed problems with autocomplete and autoresolution with 2 exchange
accounts in the profile. I haven't quite pinpointed the problem, but have
noticed problems.
