"File As" Field not shown up
I had to re-install Outlook 2000 & Import my old PST file and since then when
I go to my contacts screen The File As field doesn't show anything. So I go to Customize Current View, then Field and File As is at the top of my list. So is there some other setting I need to change so I can see the Contact File As? I also check to see if the color of the text got change to white & it didn't. Thanks for the help Jeff |

"File As" Field not shown up
Also after I click Save & Close after I open one of my Contacts I get this
message: The File As field for this contact is empty. You may not have netered a name or company. Do you want to save this contact with an empty field? So after I saw that error message I went back into the same Contact to see if their was a name or company in the File As field & their was. Hope this extra info helps. Not really. Answer is the same. Importing PST files is the wrong way to
transfer data. The File As... field is only one of many things that get trashed when you do. Do what Brian posted. -- Russ Valentine [MVP-Outlook] "Jeff C" wrote in message ...
