Is there a way to make a primary key in a linked table?
Is there a way to make a primary key in a linked table. I don't have Access
project set up, just regular Access and I don't know much about SQL. Basic instuctions will be very helpful. |

The Primary Key can be set up *only* in the table itself, in the back end where the table resides. A linked table cannot have a primary key other than that which exists in the table itself. You've asked a couple of related questions, and I'm trying to figure out just what you're trying to accomplish! Care to post some more details of the context? John W. Vinson[MVP] |
