Yes, change the field type to something that is not autonumber.
Your question is very vague. Please explain. Do you want to prevent your users from building databases with an autonumber? Do you want to turn of the autonumber feature for an existing field? Autonumbering
If you are referring to the Autofill mis-feature, then there is no way (that
