Bizar Email folder seems to have morphed into contacts folder

Hi All,

We've got a problem where someone appears to have managed
to 'morph' a normal folder containing emails (previously a
sub-folder under the inbox) into a contacts folder
(showing up as a contacts folder under the contacts)

Clicking on the morphed folder displays the contacts
contained within the emails within the folder. Exporting
the folder shows both the contacts & the bodies of the
emails.

Very confused... has anyone seen anything like this before!
