Headers & Footers not visible in Word 2002
When opening an existing Word document in Word 2002 the
headers/footers are not visible & don't even print with the document. If the same document is opened in Word 2000 or 2003, then it's fine. A new document can be created & the header/footer will be visible, just not when opening a previously created document. I haven't been able to find anything about this searching the knowledgebase and google. Had an Office expert review the problem & he saw that the document settings were also being changed, but couldn't make any sense of it. Anyone else seen this and have a solution? Thanks! |

Are the h/f in text boxes or otherwise drawing objects? If so, make sure
that the print and display options are set appropriately. -- Charles Kenyon Word New User FAQ & Web Directory: http://addbalance.com/word Intermediate User's Guide to Microsoft Word (supplemented version of Microsoft's Legal Users' Guide) http://addbalance.com/usersguide See also the MVP FAQ: http://www.mvps.org/word which is awesome! --------- --------- --------- --------- --------- --------- This message is posted to a newsgroup. If you have certain types of text in your headers/footers (e.g. drawing
objects, text boxes, hidden text, etc), there are settings to show and print (or not) all these under Tools | Options, check the View and Print tab. Check there, these settings may be set differently on different computers or in different programs.
