Outlook Express Receiving mail !!!!
On my HP notebook Outlook Express is hanging. I have
checked all settings, they seem to be OK. I am running Windows XP Home (OEM), Internet Explorer v 6.0.2800.1106.xpsp2.030422-1633, Outlook Express v 6.00.2800.1123. When I launch OE it loads then goes to 'checking mail' then it goes to 'receiving mail.' At this point it just keeps indicating 'receiving mail.' I have double clicked on 'receiving mail' and it indicates it is downloading but the progress bar has not moved. It does NOT give an error message. It will stay this way, indicating it is receiving mail for long periods (I haave tried up to 1 hour) without giving an error message. The progress bar never moves. I have gone to VERIZON.NET and checked my mail form there, no mail. I have checked my mail with my PC usiong OE, no mail. So, it seems OE is stuck in the 'receiving mail' mode. Is there a way of fixing OE without doing a WINDOWS REPAIR? If there is, any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. |
