Default lock a letterhead header?

I scan your Q&A regularly - I learn so much, thank you.
But I saw an entry from a Holly Olson mentioning that she
created a letterhead template and was able to "lock" her
letterhead. I, too, have a client I have created a
letterhead template for, with all their proprietary
information in the header and would be interested in
learning how to LOCK the letterhead, and just what that
means to all the header info and the document itself. I
searched help and visited
www.addbalance.com/word/headersfooters.htm but could find
nothing about "locking". Please direct me. Thank you in
advance.

Assuming Word 2000 or later, see
http://word.mvps.org/faqs/customizat...PlusHeader.htm

There are less satisfactory solutions for Word 97.

Note that anything that can be read (on a screen or piece of paper) can be
copied and changed.
