Default Installing Outlook 2003 problem

Hi there, hope you can help.

I had a trial run with Outlook 2007 but preferred Outllook 2003. I
uninstalled the 2007 version and restarted the computer, then installed
Outlook 2003. My Outlook file starts to open but quickly stops with a helpful
note "Microsoft Outlook has stopped working. Windows is trying to work out
what is wrong etc." It will open OK in Safe Mode.

Are there some newer hidden (?) Outlook 2007 files still there that need to
be neutralised so that the older 2003 ones can work ?

Can you please tell me how to rectify things so that Outlook 2003 works
normally.

Many thanks indeed.

If it starts in Outlook Safe Mode, that might indicate a bad add-in

I'd start with a new mail profile.
