Default converting lotus file to excel

I am trying to convert a financial analysis currently in Lotus into Excel.
The Lotus file has about 10 tabs and many formulas. I saved the Lotus file
as an Excel workbook, and I then received a message saying "Unable to open
file" when I tried to open the Excel file.

I am using version Excel version 2002. Can you help me with this? Thanks!

-Jordan
