Report Information Cut Off at Export to Word
Dee,
I think what is happening is when you export to Word, Access converts the report to RTF (rich text format). RTF has the text and instructions in it for the formating. When Access writes to RTF, I think it first converts all the text to the system font, then adds the formating commands. Word reformats the text to the commands in RTF. If the system font is larger than the font you are using in the report, the text may get tuncated by the width of the control. You need to enlarge the width of the controls to eliminate the truncation. I have found it is ok to overlap the controls to handle this. Hope that helps. Nelson "Dee" wrote in message ... Dear All, Suddenly (this has never happened before on this report), when I try to export a report that looks fine in access view to Word, it is cutting off data in the fields. Instead of "Date" it might say "Da". It is not only cutting off the data in the fields, but the labels are cut off as well. Once again, it looks fine on the preview of the report. Does anyone know what the problem might be? I would appreciate any help I could get. Thank you, Dee |

Report Information Cut Off at Export to Word
Thanks for your help. Unfortunately it doesn't work for this report. The
strange thing is that this report has worked in the past with no problem. I can't imagine why it is not working now out of the blue??? Dee "Nelson" wrote in message ... Report Information Cut Off at Export to Word
Please anyone else have any suggestions as to why this could happen? The
reason I had to re-do the report is because my other database objects file got corrupted and I had to re-build the reports..... and now the lables and fields are truncated and I have tried several things to fix it and nothing works. Please help if possible! Thanks, Dee "Dee" wrote in message ... Thanks for your help. Unfortunately it doesn't work for this report.
