i am looking for a template to type and copy onto a index card 4 x 3 can
anyone help thanks

Two points:

It seems you're using Word. This newsgroup is for a different program,
Microsoft Access. You'll get better answers for Word questions if you
scroll down and find a Word newsgroup.

Secondly - you don't NEED a template for *everything*. Create a new
document. Select File... Page Setup. Specify 4 x 3 as the paper size.
Start typing.
