Default Error opening a file

I can't open any old word file or any new file that I create and save on my desk Top I get a message The File "NAME" is not available. I have my desk top and Lab linked and I can open any word file from my desk to on my lab top

Any help woud be great. I Have tried to reload word but it did not help

If you are running Norton AntiVirus, disable its Office Plug-in.
