Hanging application WINWORD.EXE, version 11.0.6359.0, hang module
The error message is the same no matter what office product is used. What is
the workaround to stop this? Thanks! |

Hanging application WINWORD.EXE, version 11.0.6359.0, hang module
What error message would that be? When does the error message
occur (e.g., when you click on File-Open, or when you click on File-Print, or ???)? Osceolakid wrote: The error message is the same no matter what office product is used. What is the workaround to stop this? Thanks! |

1. Exit all Office programs (if you finally got in).
2. Do a three-finger salute (ctrl+alt+del). 3. From the task manager "processes" tab, if winword.exe is listed, highllight it and choose End Task (if there multiple instances, End Task them all) 4. Now, try to get into Word. 5. If you receive the error again, follow steps 2 and 3 and then do as follows: a. It could be a corrupt Word normal template. Open Windows Explorer. b. Either serach for normal.dot or navigate to the following directory: C:\Documents and Settings\[username]\Application Data\Microsoft\Templates c. Now delete the ~normal.dot and normal.dot files, in that order. d. Now try to open Word. Let us know.
