AutoComplete addresses based on shared contacts in Public Folder
Is it possible to have Outlook2003 look to a shared contact directory in the
public folders to autocomplete email addresses as it does by default with addresses in the GAL? Also, (less important) is there a way to sync or add addresses in users' contacts folders to this shared directory automatically? |

1. - Yes. Right click the Contacts Folder in the Public folders |
Properties | Outlook Address Book | check the box to show it as an Address Book. Now the To... field will look in that folder as will the Contacts Lookup window in the Standard Outlook Toolbar (where it says "type a Contact to find") 2. Not that I know of. And BTW it is not a shared directory - it's a Public Folder with permissions set to enable multiple people to access it. To add to what Judy said, you mean AutoResolve, not AutoComplete. The AutoComplete cache is built from addresses you actually use.

AutoComplete addresses based on shared contacts in Public Fold
I've looked for the .nk2 file on a users computer. BTW he is using Outlook
2K3. I can't seem to find this file using the search function in XP. I know that there must be a file somewhere on the computer because I tested the autocompletion and it pops up with names. Can you help me find this file? Thanks, Sean "Sue Mosher [MVP-Outlook]" wrote: To add to what Judy said, you mean AutoResolve, not AutoComplete.
