In Outlook 2007 only 223 of my 509 Contacts show up - why?
Not that I kow of. This is from initial load with no modification on the
profile. Any ideas? Since you had existing data, you could have an existing view with a filter. I'd suggest you look at the view properties.

I just checked and all views have the same number of Contacts. I re-set the
view and also cleared off-line items and did a fresh send/receive and still only have 223 of 509. Any other thoughts appreciated.
