Default Excel insertion action button

I have added and action button to pull up a excel spread sheet. The button
activates the sheet breifly then returns to the PP slide. I want to click
the button and the screen to stay on spread sheet. What changes to I need to
make to have the sheet to stay active, (spreadsheet), versus going back to
the slide??

Mr? Jon Kennedy,
Could you elaborate on how you are inserting this button?
If you are using an action button, and hyperlinking to your Excel file using
the action settings dialog (Slide show - Action buttons) the spreadsheet
should stay put when you click on the button during slideshow.
