Dear Wizards:

Lots of email probs with error number 0x800CCC0F until...
now OE will not open at all. Cannot access any functions, offers debug
(which does nothing)
send report (which also does ??) and close.

Created new computer account in my name; had small amount of mail appear
then back to 0x800CCC0F.

Anyone with any ideas?

Regards

Niall Mcilroy.

Email scanning should be turned off in any anti-virus. Also exclude EML
files from the scan. It provides no
protection not provided by the regular resident protection.
Besides that, McAfee and Norton are not compatible with Windows Mail and
Outlook Express and should be uninstalled.

Thanks Frank

Tried this, had no success.
Am using CA internet sec. suite.

Would (massive amount )of info from the report be of any use?

What is that complete error message?

You didn't say anything about OE crashing.

Frank:

I didn't use the term crash because it didn't occur to me.
I did say that OE would not open at all and I couldn't access any functions.
