Updating 2 Different Tables
I have a database that tracks purchases and I want to expand it to also track
account balance. Is it possible to have entries on a form w/subform update 2 tables? Here is more details...I have a form named Purchasefrm based on a table named Purchasetbl and the form has a subform based on a query named Purchasedetailsextendedqry. When data is entered for [PurchaseDate], [PurchaseCategory] and [ExtendedPrice] I would like the table AccountTransactionList to be updated also, fields being: [Category], [EntryDate] and [TransactionAmount]. I hope this makes sense. Thanks. -- Ron |

Updating 2 Different Tables
I can't understand what you are asking. The lack of responses so far
suggests I may not be the only one. Some explanation of your table structure may help, including which table contains the fields you mention (the main form table or the subform table). In general, data should be stored in one place, and linked as needed. I don't know how AccountTransactionList relates to anything else, so I can't suggest anything specific.
