how do you take away the read layout default?

I would like my word documets to default to print layout rather than read
layout when I open a document. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

You can turn off reading layout for your computer.
Tools Options General

There is no way to keep your documents from opening in reading layout on
someone else's computer, though. Even if you put a macro in your document to
open it in print view, it is likely that the recipient will not let the
macro run.
