Default Contacts have aphabetical sort column - How?

I have Outlook 2003 on my home computer and on my busines laptop. On my home
computer, there is a column on the far right that gives me an opportunity to
go to a letter of the alphabet and find the contacts that start with that
letter. It's very helpful.

My problem is that even though I have Outlook 2003 on my laptop, the
alphabetical column on the right is not there. How can I get it to show?

And is there a good way to sync the two contact databases?

Thanks in advance!

The Address Card and Detailed Address Card views should show it. I can't
find any way to make them not show it.

And is there a good way to sync the two contact databases?

Well, there is a lot there, but I'm less concerned with syncing between the
two for my contacts only. I've copied and pasted a couple times and feel
comfortable with that.

What I'm really attempting to find is how to put the Alpha index along the
contacts window to make locating a lost or forgotten name quicker and easier.

Thabks again!

If you know the first letter, you should be able to just type that first
letter and the contact selection will jump to the first contact starting
with that letter.

Not exactly the answer I'm looking for. Are you familiar with the setting I'm
describing? Perhaps I'm missing something. In one Office 2003 setup, in
Outlook, in the Contacts window, when I am showing the address cards, I have
an alphabetical hyperlink that runs fromthe top of teh page to the bottom,
thereby allowing me to jump to different letters of the alphabet quickly. In
the second setup, there is no alphabetical hyperlink on the page at all. I
would like to find the key that will allow the hyperlink alphabetical index
to show up on the Mictrosoft Outlook 2003 Contacts window when I am showing
the address cards.

I know exactly what you mean and, as I already said, I can't figure out any
way NOT to display the letter links that travel down the right side of the
Address Cards and Detail ADdress Cards views. Did you try resetting those
views to their defaults?

I've tried everything I know to do. I agree with you, I can't find any switch
or setting to show or not show. The return to default settings has not
corrected the issue, that's why I decided to check in here.

If you do find out something, please find a way to let me know
Thanks!
