no data in column in combo box
Access03: am baffled in having a combobox based on a table, that for one
column (gender) the data is blank. as a sanity check I made a form off this same table - and the gender data shows... another sanity check I deleted the old combo box and created a new...same result.. 3rd sanity check I built a query, it shows the data - and sourced the combobox on the query - same result... the column is plenty wide (since it is only 1 letter F or M) and is in the middle of several columns (i.e. Last Name, First Name, Gender, DOB) anybody have a suggestion?? |

What version of Access and what service pack level? As I recall there was a bug in the first releases of A2003 that caused combo boxes to blank out; I don't recall the exact circumstances, maybe someone with a better memory will. -- John W. no data in column in combo box
Close, John! It was the SP3 service pack for Acc2003 that really was buggy,
including the 'disappearing data' in comboboxes. Here's a link to the hotfix that resolves the issue: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/945674 -- There's ALWAYS more than one way to skin a cat!
