Forms & Subdatasheets
Hello all,
I have a quick question regarding forms with Access that I've been trying to figure out and really can't (on my own). Actually, since I'm already here, I'll take the time to ask a couple of questions. Let's say I want to have a form that displays a list of customers. Each customer is associated to multiple "reachouts" - i.e., conversations our company has had with the client. Since this is often a many-to-many relationship, I use a junction table to bring them all together. Then, each reachout is associated with various contacts - some internal, some external. (The internal and external contacts have their own table). The way I structured the form was to make a main form based on the reachouts, and a subform based on the external contacts. Then, a mainform based on the client, and a subform based on the form that is based on the reachout-contacts. Here are the questions: 1 - How would I structure the form so that I could see a continous list of clients? 2 - If my contacts are in two different tables - one for external and another for interal clients - how can I make them show up side-by-side 3 - Is it possible to change the text from "record" to what each "strip" is for - i.e., contacts, reachout, client. 4 - Thanks!! |
