Filtered Form
I have been using the Northwind database as a learning tool to improve my
knowledge of the system. I recently incorporated the "Customer Phone List" to my application but I was wondering if there is a way to allow new records to be added on the form as opposed to returning to the source table. Since the info displayed on the form is filtered, it does not give you that option. thanks -- Message posted via AccessMonster.com http://www.accessmonster.com/Uwe/For...esign/200912/1 |

Even if you change the AllowAdditions property to Yes (it's currently NO) you still need to enter a CustomerID, Address, City, etc., which the Phone form does not show. An easy method to add a new customer is to code the Customer Name control's Double-Click event: DoCmd.OpenForm "Customers", , , , acFormAdd Double-clicking on the Customer control will open the Customer entry form. Enter the new customer information, close that form, and this new customer will appear on the Phone form. -- Fred Please respond only to this newsgroup. I do not reply to personal e-mail |
