How do I contact MS for Pub 2003 help if it was pre-installed on c
Publisher came on my computer but when I try to use product support to contact MS by email I get shunted to a list of computer makers with no way to ask MS about the product.
I find it unlikely that HP can help me with Publisher questions. How about a path to email support for those of us that bought a computer with Pub. installed. Overall, I think quality and support for these probucts is horrible. Next time I'll buy Adobe Pagemaker. |

You could post your problem here, including the version number and error
messages, if any. Someone might be able to help. Hi Box ),
in the newsgroups you posted: || Publisher came on my computer but when I try to use product support || to contact MS by email I get shunted to a list of computer makers || with no way to ask MS about the product. OEM. Means you need to contact HP. || I find it unlikely that HP can help me with Publisher questions. || How about a path to email support for those of us that bought a || computer with Pub. installed. But HP does offer support for Publisher. || Overall, I think quality and support for these probucts is horrible. || Next time I'll buy Adobe Pagemaker. Wouldn't matter. OEM software is OEM software and is supported by OEMs. MS isn't the only one my friend. Had you bought Publisher RETAIL you would get the same service and support as you would Adobe Pagemaker. -- Brian Kvalheim Microsoft Publisher MVP http://www.publishermvps.com ~pay it forward~ This posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties, and confers no rights. |

You're telling me that if I have a Publisher specific issue, such as 'how do I insert page numbers?' HP is going to provide that support?

in the newsgroups you posted: || You're telling me that if I have a Publisher specific issue, such as || 'how do I insert page numbers?' HP is going to provide that support? Yup. Not sure if they will charge ya, but yup. That is what is called OEM and OEM support. -- Brian Kvalheim Microsoft Publisher MVP http://www.publishermvps.com ~pay it forward~ This posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties, and confers no rights. |

With all due respect, that is stupid. They don't know the product, they're not the original 'manufacturer', and you guys are stupid to let someone with no vested interest in your product provide support for it. That's a great way to foster dissatisfaction, oops too late. Talk about passing the buck.

They bought Publisher at a substantially reduced priced from Microsoft, and HP agreed to support the product since they are receiving the product at such price.
